Duck Hunt
Like many other migratory birds, ducks return to the north shore of the Saint Lawrence in large numbers every spring. Hunters take an interest in the bird and its eggs because of the food they provide and for their duvet.

Philippe Pietacho - This is where the Innu have always hunted in the spring. In May there were Innu camps everywhere, for duck hunting. This hunt enabled us to meet up with old friends after a winter in the bush. This is where the Innu came to pluck their ducks. We came here at high tide. There are still many ducks here today. Over there, hunters watched for the wild geese to fly by. It's always been like that. See these old caches? That's the life I knew. The spring hunt always ended with a huge feast.
