2:37 min. - Weather predictions from observing raindrops fall on the water’s surface

Transcription

Basile Bellefleur - Sometimes they watched the movement of the clouds. Dark clouds forecast rain either the next day or the day after. If the clouds came from the South, that meant good weather was coming. The North wind meant it would be cold. By looking at the rain falling on the lake and seeing only tiny drops, we know it will rain all day. When the rain splashes into the water, that means the rain won't last long. When you see large raindrops and fog, that's the best time to hunt beaver, because that's when beavers come out to swim.
